Hydraulic Component Test Stand

The Starline Model SL1200-15 is a hydraulic component test stand designed to test aircraft components using hydraulic flow and pressure. The system can exercise an actuator in both directions or simply provide pressure and flow through a separate set of hoses. It has the ability to perform high-pressure static testing of components for leaks and operation using a hand pump. The test stand has a polycarbonate panel test chamber for lighting and viewing, and the cabinet is constructed from 304 stainless steel. The system is controlled and safety monitored using a PLC with an HMI panel and a rotating arm for proper positioning.

The test stand has external controls, including an HMI panel, circuit breaker disconnect with a “lockout” feature, an illuminated mushroom-style E-Stop, a phase/voltage indicator, and an hour meter for testing and maintenance. The fluid level in the reservoir is easily maintained with the use of a sight gauge, and all external fluid connection points include manual shutoff valves. The operator interface uses a programmable logic controller (PLC) and an HMI panel to provide operator control of the hydraulic test stand.
