Flush / Pressure Test Unit
This Mobile Hydraulic Power Unit is designed to provide a source of hydraulic fluid for flushing and static pressure testing aircraft components. The unit can provide up to 10 gpm for flushing system and 6000 psig for static proof testing. The unit’s instrumentation includes main pressure, flow, temperature, water content and particle counter.
Fluid cooling is accomplished through air-to-oil heat exchanger and electric-driven fan. The main pump is a variable vane pump. A flow meter in the main pressure line to the unit under test (UUT) assures accurate flow readings. A bypass valve permits setting the main pump flow to a known value before supplying flow to UUT. The same valve also permits the operator to reduce system pressure quickly in case of emergency.
Particle counter can be selected to show particle distribution in several selectable formats. Water sensor displays in PPM units.
The power unit includes a PLC touch screen for all operation and maintenance indicators to warn the operator of a required filter change or faults. Safety systems include maximum pressure relief, low/high reservoir fluid warning and shutdown.
